Tea alchemy

Make your love of loose-leaf teas personal with these Fill Your Own Teabags. Japanese-made, they couldn’t be easier to use. Simply measure out up to 5g of tea into the bag, fold, seal and brew as you would any other tea.

A clever solution for when you’re out and about, these PP teabags enable you to take your favourite loose-leaf teas with you on the fly. Alternatively, let your creativity run wild and mix up your own custom blends. Either way, no teapot or strainer required!

Blending your own?

Some tips to get you started:

• Opt for a mix of teas that require the same water temperature and steeping/brewing (a mix of our Whole Chamomile Blossoms and Peppermint Leaves would be a good example).

• Adjust the ratios when blending more dominant teas with lighter brews, so there’s a higher percentage of the lighter tea (English Breakfast with Rooibos, anyone?).

• In general, avoid mixing highly oxidised and strong-flavoured teas with delicate ones. So, that would be a nix on an earthy Pu-Erh mixed with a Jasmine Silver Needle, as one example…

Biodegradable teabags

These teabags are made of a Polypropylene fleece. As part of The Tea Makers of London’s drive to become more sustainable, we offer a selection of some of our most popular luxury loose-leaf teas in environmentally friendly Triune Teabags. Plastic-free and fully biodegradable, each one is carefully hand-filled by us in our London warehouse. Shop our Tea store for the full range.
